Rev. Peggy Harrod

Associate Minister/Minister of Outreach

Reverend Peggy Anita Harrod received the Lord Jesus Christ and was baptized at the age of twelve. She married Herman Spencer Harrod on October 19, 1965. Through this union are five children, three sons and two daughters: Phillip, Herman Jr., Brian, Adrienne and Michelle. I have an extended family a son-in-law Andrew Franklin and daughter-in-law Elaine Harrod. I am blessed with five grandchildren, three girls and two boys and one great granddaughter.

I was called into the ministry on December 31, 2003. I was licensed for the ministry June 2004 under Pastor Emeritus Claude R. Swanson. My studies include: certificate of achievement from Craig Memorial Community Church bible class, on December 4, 2002, Craig training institute under Pastor Emeritus Claude R. Swanson. I also received a certificate for two courses from Howard University College for continuing education program on December 13, 2004 and a certificate of Appreciation for Continual Volunteer Service of the National Capital Christian Education Conference. Rev. Harrod completed a course in Spiritual Authority at Evangel Church and also completed a course in Hermeneutics in 2007 under Instructor, Rev. Alan L. Bolden, D. Min. in Washington, DC. I obtained my diploma of ministerial studies on June 10, 2007 from the Spirit of Faith Bible Institute.

I have served on several ministries including praise and worship, deacon and finance. I am currently serving on the present ministries: Ministerial Staff, Outreach, Sunday School, and Intercessory Prayer, Pastor's Ambassadors, Women Christian Fellowship, Hospitality Grief Ministry and Youth Enrichment Program (YEP).
